We have partnered with our friends from the Kansas City Region for a joint event on Saturday, April 5th. We will start our day at the Kansas Motor Speedway for Cars and Coffee. This should be a special and unique setting for a C&C event, and I suspect we’ll see some amazing machines.
Immediately following C&C, we’ll join up with the rest of the KCPCA region for their club drive to Weston, MO, where we’ll stop for lunch at the Riverwood Winery, enjoy a glass of wine, and get to know some of the folks from KC.
Following lunch, our own John Stauth will be leading us on an afternoon drive to Excelsior Springs, MO (we hope some of our KC friends will be able to join us). Excelsior Springs will be our final destination for the day where we’ll eat, drink, and be merry at the Elms Hotel and Spa, and enjoy the charm the town has to offer.
Saturday will be an early start (8AM start for C&C) and a full day. We have reserved a block of rooms for Friday night at the Country Inn & Suites next to the speedway. This should make it easier for us all to get to C&C in the morning. They are currently holding a block of 10 rooms for us – if we exceed that number, we’ll have the option of adding some additional rooms, and there are plenty of accommodations in that area if we have some overflow.
Some of our folks may need to head back after lunch, but for those who plan to continue on to Excelsior Springs that afternoon, I’d recommend you consider staying overnight after our long day. The Elms Hotel, where our dinner/social event will be held Saturday evening, looks like a great place to stay, but there are also more affordable options in the area.
If this sounds like a great weekend to you, here’s what you’ll need todo to get in:
Also, if you are attending any part of this event, please drop me a quick line at jriley@ingenuit.tech so that we can track overall attendance.
Big thanks to our KC friends for hosting us – they’ve been very welcoming and are excited to share some time with us. This should be a great weekend getaway to start the spring, and it will also help us gauge future interest in more destination drives like this one. Hope to see you all there!
